ISO 14001 | Environmental management (AENOR)
At Torre de Núñez, we have an Environmental Management System certified in accordance with ISO 14001:2015 (AENOR), which reinforces our commitment to continuous improvement, compliance, and the prevention of environmental impacts in our processes. The scope of the certification includes the activities of our Conturiz and O Corgo (Lugo) plants related to the production, curing, slicing, and packaging of our products.
Carbon Footprint | Scopes 1 + 2 (MITECO) | 2024
Torre de Núñez has calculated and registered its 2024 organisational Carbon Footprint (scopes 1 and 2) in the official register of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO). This recognition certifies the verified measurement of our direct emissions and those associated with energy consumption, and reinforces our commitment to efficiency and the progressive reduction of environmental impact. Note: the seal corresponds to the organisation and the year indicated, so it is not used on product images.
Zero Waste | Waste recovery (AENOR)
We have obtained the AENOR “Zero Waste” certificate at our main facilities: O Corgo (slicing and ham plants) and Conturiz (head office, Lugo). This certification confirms that more than 90% of the waste generated at these sites is managed for recovery (reuse, recycling, or energy recovery), preventing it from being sent to landfill and moving towards more responsible production aligned with the circular economy.
